Shoe Essentials

We all know that, us girls especially, have a serious shoe problem. I know that I’m so guilty of this it’s a bit ridiculous. I began to think that with the new season arriving there are a few new pairs of shoes that I want to purchase. I began my hunt and realized there are so many new styles to choose from that I figured why not share my top picks with you guys! I found several different shoes for you to preview with a total of 4 categories; heels, sandals, sneakers, and flats. I honestly believe that choosing one from each category, you will have a perfect new shoe wardrobe for the summer. I know it can seem overwhelming, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t particularly like to go shopping, believe me a lot of my friends absolutely hate it! This of course is where most people run to for online shopping however, I always felt that that was a bit tricky when it comes to shoes. It’s too much of a hassle to be purchasing a bunch of shoes online hoping for the best and then constantly being disappointed when you can’t find what you’re looking for. This way, I hope that with these options, it will help you to find something that you can truly fall in love with and wear over and over again for the next few months! Let’s Start With My Favorite… Heels

For the summer, I really believe that you can play up with heels. Tassels and pom poms are so on trend right now and this pair from Express are great for any occasion. You can dress them down with a pair of ripped jeans for a casual night out or you can dress them up with a great little black dress.

Here is another great pair that are so fun and versatile. I love how you can really play up a great pair of heels and be able to mix and match them with all types of styles. Express is another brand that when it comes to unique heels for an affordable price that happen to also be comfortable, they are my go-to.

Let me tell you how much I love this pair from Steve Madden. This is such a basic shoe but it’s honestly a staple that should be in every girl’s shoe closet. You can wear this type of shoe to any occasion and the best part is because of the wider heel, you’ll be able to last hours walking around. And they come in 10 different colors!

Flat Sandals for Everyday

I honestly can’t believe that I found such a basic T-strap sandal at Payless. The reason that I’m making such a fuss about this kind of sandal because, believe it or not, it’s actually very difficult to find a completely basic black or nude T-strap flat sandal. In most of the sandals the strap part is much wider or embellished with something. Don’t get me wrong those type of sandals are just as great but I love a basic, simple, and clean sandal that can go with every look. Another reason why I love the T-strap look is because it narrows the foot and elongates it as well. This is especially great for when you’re wearing baggy boyfriend jeans and you want the sandal to be a nice contrast as a bit more elegant and delicate.

I cannot tell you the obsession that I have with Soludos! They have so many cute espadrilles and sandals that every time I go on their site to see what new arrivals they have, I honestly want them all! It’s a serious problem let me tell you. I actually have this style in another color and I purchased them last summer and couldn’t stop wearing them. I would always get so many compliments on them and people would ask where I purchased them that I had to include them in my list for you.

Last year I was walking past the Old Navy that’s on 6th Avenue and I saw these double strap sandals in their window display. I remember thinking to myself I love how simple, once again I know I love basic sandals, they are and went in to try them on. I purchased three pairs on the spot and I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable they are. I took them with me on my vacation to Spain and wore them all day sightseeing as well as days to the beach. I truly recommend you get your hands on a pair of these!

Summer Sneakers

I have to tell you that when it comes to Converse sneakers I can be a bit picky. I have size 8 in shoe size and I always struggled with finding sneakers that have a thin sole. I don’t like a thicker sole because I have skinny legs and when I wear bulky sneakers I feel like I look like Ronald McDonald! I know it’s quite a ridiculous thought but I really did feel that way! This is why I love the Converse Dainty. They come in almost every basic color and they have the low cut as well as the high tops. They make you feet look so cute and tiny I truly wear them any time I want a sneaker type look.

Once again here is another pair from Soludos, I told you it’s a problem. I love their espadrille sneaker. They are so lightweight and breathable that you can even get away with wearing them during those super hot summer days.

For this last pair of sneakers I wanted to have them for the list because I love the colors that are available. If you go on there site they have three colors, the one shown above, a tan and a blue grey. I love how the colors are so neutral you can honestly wear them with any outfit.

And Finally, On To Flats!

Now I’m not gonna lie the most difficult pair of shoes for me to find always are flats. They are so many out there but it’s really hard for me to find a pair that I think look good on and are versatile! One of my favorite styles are pointy toe flats especially when they have lace up detail. I found these at Gap and I know the one thing I can rely on them for when it comes to their shoes is comfort. However, I also love the style and the fact that they come in 4 different colors.

For the final pair of shoes that I will be showing you are these scalloped flats from Sam Edelman. They come in 11 different colors ranging from leather to suede. These are the perfect pair of flats to be able to just throw on and run out the door. They are super casual but have a cute detail that makes them a little more special.
