Elf cosmetics

Hey everyone! I’m back! I cannot tell you how much I’ve missed posting. The last few months have been insane. As many of you know I’ve moved to Barcelona last August and it was intense. But intense in the best way possible. I had to let my blog take a back set because of work and getting acclimated into a completely new lifestyle. Spain is quite different from the US in so many ways but I love it. I truly love Europe and if there is anyone out there who is thinking of making the change I will tell you without a moments hesitation DO IT!

But now that we’re here and I’m dedicated to having at least one new post a week I’ll get to the makeup. When I was back in NY I went to e.l.f. to see what they had in store. I bought a few things and really gave them a try. Since then I’ve ordered a few more items and I want to share some of my favorite makeup items they have.

BRUSHES

I have to say I love e.l.f.’s brushes. They are so good! They pick up so much product it’s amazing. I used to have many different types of blush and bronzer brushes that I would have to really use a lot of product to get it on the brush and then apply. It was one of those sitting and swirling my brush around in circles for a while before I was ready to apply. With these brushes you tap once and you can immediately see the product on the back of the brush. I love this for two reasons. N0. 1 I don’t have to spend time swirling over and over again to reapply and No. 2, I’m not wasting all this product like before.

FLAWLESS FACE BRUSHflawless face brush

This is my favorite brush to use for bronzer as well as an all over translucent powder brush. It picks up product so well and is very easy to manage.

ULTIMATE BLENDING BRUSH

I use this brush after I’ve applied my bronzer and blush and blend everything together. It’s really compacted so it creates an amazing flawless finish.

FLAWLESS CONCEALER BRUSH

This concealer brush is amazing for applying and blending translucent powder under the eyes and nose area. I’m someone who never wears foundation, not because my skin is so flawless but because it gets too oily throughout the day. So applying concealer under my eye and nose areas and finishing it off with a powder gives me that faux foundation look. This brush is the only one that I’ve been using since I’ve purchased it and I really recommend it.

FACE

I really wanted to try a few products before I decided to go all out and buy everything. So I want to mention the first few I purchased and have been using for the past several months. I love products that have a really light touch. I’m someone who prefers and also looks better in natural makeup so I always want something that has a delicate effect.

OIL CONTROL BLOTTING POWDERElf makeup

I’ve been quite happy with this blotting powder. A Little goes a long way and it lasts for more than half of the day for me. My only complaint about the product is that it’s only available in three colors.

LONG WEAR CREAM BLUSH PALETTEelf blush

This palette comes in two different shade sets but it’s a blush cream set that I really have been enjoying. I have seriously oily skin and any makeup that’s usually categorized as creamy I have to stay away from. However, this palette has not been creating serious oil on my cheeks and I love that it applies very light.

LONG WEAR BAKED HIGHLIGHTERElf highlighterLast but not least we have the highlighter. I won’t lie to you this is not my favorite highlighter. It doesn’t beat the Physician’s Formula highlighter however I have been reaching it for days when I want a really light look, especially when it gets to be quite hot here in Barcelona. I also love to apply it to the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes.

I really hope this post was helpful! Let me know in the comments below which e.l.f. products you love!
